Events

All MHHA members are welcome to attend any of our events – you don’t need to bring a horse! Many members come along to learn more about working horses and to see them ‘in action’. It’s a chance to see ‘behind the scenes’ and enjoy the company, help and support of people who are as passionate about working horses as you are!

We are particularly happy to see new members at our events. If you or your family would like to attend, email our secretary () or complete the Membership Form and arrange payment via bank transfer. Annual membership costs just £15 adult, £10 junior or £25 for a family.

Included in your membership is the quarterly newsletter, The Whisperer, access to our events throughout the year and free entry to the club show at Hanbury Countryside Show.

If you’d like to come along to any of these events, please complete the Event Registration Form (one for each event you’d like to attend). once we have your form and have confirmed you are a paid-up member of MHHA we’ll be in touch with details of the event. Seecham

Sunday 5th October 2025 Running from 10am – 3pm a chance to get your horses out even if it’s raining! A great indoor arena for riding and long reining in and of course, a chance to meet up with other Members.

AGM & Christmas Lunch

Sunday 7th December 2025 Door open at 11am. AGM at 12 noon. Christmas lunch at 1pm.Come along and celebrate all we’ve achieved in 2025 and have your say in plans for 2026.

Long Reining Competition

24th January 2026 Running from 10am – 3pm We are hosting a long reining competition at Morten Morrell Warwickshire

Chairman's Event Opener

22nd February 2026 Running from 10am – 3pm We will be having a meet and greet, a topical talk, table top sale and a catch up. This is a non-horse event but you can get some hands on practice at long reining with Shires, learn about harness and practice plaiting skills!

Show Prep Workshop

TBC March 2026 Running from 10am – 3pm We will be having a Showing Prep Workshop at a venue - a nominal donation may be required for this event* Learn how to turn-out your Heavy Horse with support from MHHA and then lean all about ring craft from an experienced judge.

Kinver Working Weekend

TBC April 2026 This is a super working weekend which is perfect for those who would like to ride or lead/ long rein in the beautiful scenic woodlands in south staffordshire

Holbeache Working Weekend

TBC May 2026 This is a super working weekend where everyone can get their Ginger Fix! Be ready for Suffolk foal cuddles! This is a super weekend where everyone can relax. Plenty of room for multiple activities

MHHA Club Show Hanbury

4th July 2026 Our Club Show is free to enter by all members of MHHA. There is a class to suit most, and there are some fantastic trophies up for grabs! The perfect event to have a go at showing in a fun supportive environment - so come and have a go!

South Warwickshire Working Weekend
